You all heard of the fashion trends from the 80's, I sort of thought they looked good until I saw this one article on AOL News. They wore rediculously high platform heels, parachute pants, tent dresses, tie die flare pants, shoulder pads, those awful jumpsuits, and acid wash jean. Some of this horror is in style though, such as the acid wash jean, only these come in pants form not jacket or hat nightmare. For me, this article was like watching The Nightmare down Fashion Memory Lane. Though, I am ashamed to say it, but there is this girl at our school who wears ratty T-shirts and tie died jeans, the sad thing is, she is very well know for having good fashion taste. The thing about fashion is that it is always changing because people are trying to stand out and others follow them like sheep, all of the stuff listed above was in style most likely because someone singer or actor tried to stand out. Some of the things that people used to wear were horrendous, but people fifty years from now will think,"Oh my gosh, my grandma/grandpa wore that, how can I possibly be related to him/her. But the truth is, as long as you are having fun and feel confident in what you are wearing, that is your fashion. But thong shorts and bra tops are not what you should be wearing in the grocery store, there are childern there that don't need to be scarred for life, people.
